Audi was one of the pioneers among German luxury automakers to embark on the development of its electric vehicle lineup. Additionally, it was among the early premium manufacturers to launch a fully electric model, the Audi e-tron, in Canada a few years ago. Now, Audi has unveiled its latest offering, the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron, a fully electric luxury SUV that serves as the gateway to Audi's EV lineup.

Despite being the most accessible Audi luxury electric vehicle currently available, the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron doesn't compromise on performance, features, or efficiency. This premium EV delivers the range and charging capability you'd expect, along with impressive cargo capacity and the advanced all-weather traction and stability of standard Quattro all-wheel drive. Here's everything you need to know about the all-new 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron.

295 hp from the Q4 e-tron dual electric motor powertrain
The new Audi Q4 e-tron boasts a rear axle permanently excited synchronous motor paired with a front asynchronous electric unit. The combined output of these two motors allows for the advanced stability of Quattro all-wheel drive, with continuous power being supplied to each axle. The electric powertrain delivers a total output of 295 hp, propelling the Q4 e-tron to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds.

The presence of two individual electric motors provides near-instantaneous acceleration and seamless passing on the highway. Additionally, the positioning of each motor and the battery powering them ensures exceptional balance and weight distribution, resulting in remarkable handling in challenging conditions and on winding roads. Despite being an SUV, the 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron offers the agile and dynamic handling and acceleration that we expect from high-end electric vehicles.

Moreover, the Q4 e-tron's driving experience is enhanced by its 0.28 drag coefficient, which minimizes wind resistance and noise. The inclusion of Audi Drive Select driving modes allows drivers to tailor their driving experience based on the conditions they are facing. Each Audi Drive Mode select mode adjusts the drivetrain and chassis settings to optimize performance for any given situation.

380 kilometres of all-electric range
The 2023 Q4 e-tron is equipped with an 82-kWh battery that provides an impressive range of 380 kilometers on a single charge. Its electric consumption is rated at just 22.6 kWh per 100 kilometers, with an equivalent fuel consumption rating of 2.5 Le per 100 kilometers. This means that charging the Q4 e-tron is equivalent to fuelling a vehicle with an average consumption rating of 2.5 L per 100 kilometers, resulting in minimal cost.

The Q4 e-tron comes with a 48-amp charger that can deliver a maximum output of 11 kW when charging at home. Additionally, it is possible to charge the Audi electric SUV using a fast charger with a maximum output of 135 kW. Charging on a DC fast charger can provide 5% to 80% charge in less than 40 minutes.
